Rawad Chaker holds a doctorate in education sciences. He is a Senior Lecturer at the Education Sciences and Practices Institute at the Université Lumière Lyon 2. His fields of research address learning issues in digital environments, as well as adult education issues relating to digital technologies.
He investigates about lifelong learning and Open Educational Resources such as MOOCs, through the perspective of the recognition of digital and transversal skills, social and occupational insertion and self-perceived employability. His areas of interest also cover K12 education: he’s leading a research project about coding in primary school (the PREP project), which involves teaching and learning with the use of Open Source programming software such as Scratch and Scratch Jr.
